You hear it all the time: Life is short. We are all given different gifts of talents and unique characteristics which set us apart from others. So then why is it that some people choose to bury those talents and gifts only to conform to the "easy life"; the life which we are all told to live by society?
There is a certain sexiness to the word "tenacity", and I say that because those who are tenacious have a spark inside and set themselves apart from others. What are the qualities of the someone who is tenacious, you ask?
They achieve goals
Tenacious individuals know what they want in life. They have a vision, and they find ways to bring themselves closer to that vision every day. Their drive gives them momentum, and they know how to praise themselves for their achievements, big and small.
They feel the fear and do it anyway
Because of their desire to make big achievements in life, they are constantly fighting against their fears. Don't think for one second that some of their obstacles don't scare them. We all face fears when we encounter the unknown. Someone with tenacity takes those fears and uses the energy from that feeling to push themselves through the difficulty. The more they push through, the better they get at it, and the more strength they gain as a result.
They are doers
"Work hard in silence and let your success make all the noise." There is a difference between telling the world about all of the accomplishments you want to make and actually moving your feet to get things done. Someone who is tenacious will tell individuals that they are close to what they are working on, but don't want to tell the world until they make the achievement. You can say one thing, but actions speak louder than words.
They are persistent
Many people will become discouraged and move on to a different goal, or loose faith in their abilities when they do not achieve a goal that they have been after. Someone with tenacity understands that they aren't always going to get what they want in their first attempt, so they keep trying until they get there.They also know that it usually takes a different approach, so they give themselves some time to think about the next attempt and how they will go about it differently. They believe in themselves enough to have faith that they will find a way.
They network
There are tons of people out there who are willing to help you achieve your goals, and you may be able to help them with theirs in return. Tenacious individuals know that they cannot do everything on their own, so they take importance in building good relationships with everyone they meet, and are not afraid to throw around unique ideas with others.
